Meet Barb Lishko

Barbara Lishko processes life through the written word. It is how God speaks and teaches her His Wisdom. Barb’s work through marriage ministry at her parish strengthened and refined her own marriage as she helped couples prepare for
the ride of their lives.

Through preparing couples for marriage and family life Barb’s heart expanded. Writing became the outlet for sharing her faith with stories that led to transformation and encouragement. In our shared experiences, we grow deeper in communion within the human family. Her greatest adventure and the source of limitless love and laughter, is family life. It is there that we all find a home in our universal experiences as pilgrims.

New Release

Cloud of Witnesses Book

The stories in this book are not just chronicles of historical figures from the past but friends very much involved in our present. Each writer shares about a particular saint and how that saint has shown up in their life in marvelous ways.

Books will be available beginning on December 20th.

Timely and on the mark, downright funny yet piercing the heart, Barb writes like she lives, because the truth is true and, as Jessica Powers says, God is the strangest of all lovers.”

Most Rev. Thomas J. Olmsted, Bishop Emeritus Diocese of Phoenix

The words found in “Poured Myself Out” continue to touch me in ways that are so deep, inspiring and consoling that it is difficult to express my joy each time I see a new posting from Barb!

Barb’s words as a Catholic woman, mother, grandmother and wife are always spot on with what I am experiencing!  And even though the subject may be somewhat sensitive, her humor gives way to lightening whatever heaviness is associated with that particular experience.  Very often I read her words to my husband who also gets a chuckle from them because they are so relatable and pertinent to our daily lives and struggles.

Thank you, Barb, for your wisdom, insights and willingness to share your challenges and vulnerabilities.  God bless you!”

“’Well done, good and faithful servant’. You have made a positive impact on so many people including me. You will never know how many people your words were exactly what someone needed in their life and journey.”

Barb, I’ve said it before and I will say it again, you always make me smile, think, and grow in my faith. You are a blessing to TCW. (Today’s Catholic Woman)
