Hey there! Welcome to Grandpa deals. Let’s take it slow with just this one task. Shutting off lights….
Let’s start with the basics-
Are you or your family good at shutting off the lights in unused rooms? It’s a simple thing to get into the habit of doing.
Pay attention to your electrical usage on your bill. Be intentional at turning off the lights for a month and see if there are noticeable savings. It might take lots of “reminding,”
Turn the lights OFF, please!
New habits take time, and lots of reminders. We are creating good habits in family members/ room-mates or guests, to be mindful of doing their part in your effort to save dollars. Why pay the electric company more than is necessary.
Consider fun incentives for those who make efforts. Little kids love stickers placed on the calendar or $ saving chart. Maybe a week of good habits equals some fun in the park or a free fun outing together.
Another power sucker is leaving battery charging cords plugged in. While only one cord is minimal, multiple cords have a cumulative impact on powering up your bill. We are all guilty of this, but even this is a simple way to take charge of decreasing your bill.

Let’s work on forming this good habit for this month and let me know how its going! I love to hear feedback, funny stories and helpful tips.
Over and out

I know this has helped in decreasing our electric bills! Every little bit helps.
