Happy Friday. How are you doing so far on shutting off lights in empty rooms and unplugging unused cords? Are you seeing any progress in being more mindful about electricity usage?
Let’s talk about gas. NO, not the embarrassing noisy and untimely emissions, but the kind that runs your automobiles .This week is about some helpful apps to save additional funds at the pump.

Gasbuddy.com– This is a great place to find cheap gas in your area as well as when you are traveling. Be sure and look ahead on your journey to locate the best priced pumps. Gasbuddy is updated by consumers who make necessary updates to gas prices as they encounter them along the road. I have found them to be accurate. It also lets you know the last time the price was updated so you know current fuel prices. You can also updated the prices yourself helping others know accurate pricing. Drivers helping drivers 😊
Chevron App– (in your app/play store) This app allows you to combine Albertson/Safeway fuel points with Chevron points for reduced price per gallon on gasoline. You build Chevron points based on the number of gallons of gas you buy versus dollars spent. The app, as of last week offers .25 cents off per gallon on your first five fill-ups. You can combine that with your Albertson/Safeway points for additional savings.
Love’s Gas app– (in the app store) This app currently takes .10 cents off per gallon of gas at fill up.
Maverick Gas Station App (and yes, it too is in the app/play store) offers .03 cents off per gallon when you sign in with your phone number. This will also build points toward future discounts at their stores.
As far as oil changes I always watch out for coupons and of course ask for any senior or vetran discounts.
I’d love to know what suggestions you have so we can all benefit from our shared wisdom.
Blessings to all, Grandpa Deals 😊
Thanks for the tips! With prices going up and down it’s great to have advice when the prices jump up.
