Meet Barb Lishko

Barbara Lishko processes life through the written word. It is how God speaks to her heart and teaches her His Wisdom. Her own marriage benefitted through her work preparing couples for sacramental marriage and the ride of their lives.

Writing became an outlet to share her faith with stories about transformation and encouragement. Our shared experiences help us grow deeper in communion within the human family. Barb’s greatest adventure has been marriage and family life, the source of limitless love and laughter.

Why not take a few moments and read a reflection or two, you might find we have more in common. Be sure and subscribe so you don’t miss any of the weekly words of grace.

Timely and on the mark, downright funny yet piercing the heart, Barb writes like she lives, because the truth is true and, as Jessica Powers says, God is the strangest of all lovers.”

Most Rev. Thomas J. Olmsted, Bishop Emeritus Diocese of Phoenix

The words found in “Poured Myself Out” continue to touch me in ways that are so deep, inspiring and consoling that it is difficult to express my joy each time I see a new posting from Barb!

Barb’s words as a Catholic woman, mother, grandmother and wife are always spot on with what I am experiencing!  And even though the subject may be somewhat sensitive, her humor gives way to lightening whatever heaviness is associated with that particular experience.  Very often I read her words to my husband who also gets a chuckle from them because they are so relatable and pertinent to our daily lives and struggles.

Thank you, Barb, for your wisdom, insights and willingness to share your challenges and vulnerabilities.  God bless you!”
